Psychological Approaches I specialize in :

I find myself working with a foundation of Psychodynamic, behavioral, trauma-informed and mindfulness approaches. I utilize theoretical approaches based on what a client may need or is looking for. I believe an integrative model helps clients seek different perspectives. I believe consent and feedback is an ongoing process in therapy, and understanding if the approach works for you is of utmost importance.

Psychodynamic Approach

I use a psychodynamic approach to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and enhancing the security within your relationships while encouraging personal growth through risk-taking. This therapeutic framework delves into your childhood experiences and relationships with caregivers, seeking to unveil how these early life encounters shape your perspectives on the world and your relationships. Through the psychodynamic approach, we work collaboratively with you to identify and disrupt any recurring patterns that may be causing you to feel stuck. By gaining deeper insights and exploring new choices, we empower you to overcome these patterns and embark on a transformative journey of personal development.

Behavioral Approach

We may use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches place a strong emphasis on understanding and modifying your behaviors, merging insightful self-awareness with practical changes.

Through the behavioral approach, we engage in actionable change. This may involve confronting and reframing negative thought patterns, establishing manageable objectives to combat procrastination, gradually confronting phobias through exposure therapy, and building compelling evidence to counter your self-limiting beliefs. We also delve into the exploration of your core values and guide you in taking actions that align with these values.

Behavioral approaches empower you to take control of your life, work towards your desired goals, and construct a future that resonates with your deepest aspirations.
