Therapy for women in San Francisco & online across California.

A place to put down what you've been carrying, understand your patterns, and start making choices that feel like your own.

Does This Sound Like You?

  • You’re a high-achieving woman who has led with ambition and achieved so much, and you still feel you have to keep proving yourself.

  • You get things done, but it’s hard to trust anyone enough to ask for help.

  • You’re the one everyone leans on, and no one asks how you’re doing.

  • You get through a full day and still feel like you fell short.

  • You say yes before you’ve checked whether you actually want to.

  • You’re juggling a dozen roles (daughter, partner, colleague, friend, maybe mom) and lose track of yourself somewhere in between.

  • You’re trying to grow your family, adjusting after a birth, or dealing with a health change.

Who Can Benefit from Therapy for Women

Many of the women we work with grew up South Asian, in India or as part of the diaspora. Maybe you learned early that keeping the peace mattered more than saying what you think. Now it shows up as people pleasing, tension with family, pressure around dating or an arranged marriage, or holding back in meetings at your tech job when you know you have something to add. We'll match you with a therapist who understands that context, so you don't have to explain it from scratch.

Women come to us for all kinds of reasons. You might be dealing with:

  • Anxiety that looks like overthinking, replaying conversations, or a mind that won't slow down

  • Burnout, perfectionism, or feeling stretched thin between work and everything else

  • Moving ahead in your career while running into bias, sexism, or a ceiling no one talks about

  • A harsh inner critic, or measuring yourself against everyone else, and wanting self-esteem that doesn't depend on other people's approval

  • Knowing what you need, saying it out loud, and learning to trust your own judgment again

  • Either blowing up or going quiet when things get hard in a relationship

  • Relationship concerns: dating, partnership, marriage, separation, divorce, family, and friendships

  • Parenting, and finding room for yourself alongside it

  • Women's health and fertility, including hormonal shifts, PMDD, and postpartum depression

  • Trauma, and wanting your body to feel less on high alert

  • Accepting and showing compassion to your neurodivergent identity in a non-pathologizing space

We're So Glad You're Here

If any of that landed, you're in good company. Many of the women we see are capable, thoughtful, and quietly worn out. From the outside, things look fine. On the inside, it can feel like anxiety that won't switch off, low energy, or being stuck without knowing which way to move.

There's a reason for that. Women today have more options than any generation before, and a longer list of things they're expected to get right. Career, family, relationships, health, community. When everything feels important, your own needs are usually the first thing to go.

Therapy here is a chance to slow down and sort out which expectations are actually yours, which ones you inherited, and which ones you're ready to let go of.

How We Approach Therapy for Women

We start with curiosity, not a fix. Sessions are a place where all of you is welcome, including the anger, grief, and confusion you usually keep to yourself. We go at your pace and draw on a relational approach alongside CBT, ACT, and EMDR, depending on what fits you.

Understanding your story

We get to know where you come from: your family, your culture, the roles you were handed, and the rules nobody said out loud but everyone followed. Seeing those clearly is often a relief in itself.

Deeper healing and reclaiming your voice

Over time, we look at the bigger patterns, like over-giving, shrinking to keep others comfortable, or holding yourself to impossible standards. The goal is for your choices to reflect what you value.

Culturally sensitive, feminist care

Our therapists are Asian and South Asian women. We understand how culture, family, and gender shape a woman's life, and we won't treat what you're going through as a personal failing.
